Maintaining your Technology Investment
As dental professionals, you recommend that your patients are seen on a regular basis to maintain the health of their teeth. Likewise, as technology professionals we believe in a proactive approach to servicing and maintaining the health of your computer & software systems.

Bi-Yearly Maintenance Visit
We visit each of our customers twice per year and perform a series of health checks on their computer network to identify potential problems and help protect their technology investment. Our customers typically look forward to their scheduled visit, as this presents an opportunity to perform additional services and upgrades. Here is a list of the typical tasks we perform during a Maintenance Visit:
Data Backup Test
The only way to completely test a data backup system is to restore the backup to a separate computer and verify the data using the dental software program. To our best knowledge, SK Tech Group is the only company in the dental industry that regularly performs full data backup recoveries for their dental office networks. We are astonished by this, because we know that if you were to lose the information in your dental software (schedule, financials, x-rays, etc.) in most cases it would cause devastating, irreparable damage to you and your business. The Data Backup Test is the most important part of our Maintenance Visit.
Antivirus Maintenance
One of the most common issues we see in a dental computer network is the annoyance of a computer virus on one of the computers. During your maintenance visit, your SK Engineer will evaluate the virus protection software, and also perform full scans of all computers to rid them of any potential viruses.
System and Network Review
At the system level, computers often document errors that can identify a problem even before the user of the computer experiences an issue. During a maintenance visit, your SK Engineer will review all of the system logs and network logs in an effort to identify potential hardware/software problems before they occur. This can allow SK Tech Group to replace or repair equipment even before it has failed.
Software Upgrades
Prior to scheduling each bi-yearly Maintenance Visit, we evaluate the office for any potential software upgrades that should be installed. Performing this during a scheduled Maintenance Visit ensures the practice is running the latest version of their software, and also reduces the need for a special service trip just to upgrade the software.
Client Requested Tasks
When our clients know that we will be arriving every six months for their Proactive Maintenance visit, they often make specific requests for upgrades. The scheduled service offers an opportunity for customers to make requests for upgrades or changes, knowing that we will already be onsite to perform service. This keeps the network much healthier and more up to date with customer specific requests.
